Father’s Day is around the corner – or at least in the US – and even though the past two weeks I’ve been treating Thomas to little things such as mani’s and pedi’s – yes, guys need to do that too – already, I’ve bought him some other of his favorite things. What this exactly is I’m not able to tell, because he still reads my blog and I don’t want to risk spoiling the surprise, but he might get a feel after he sees my shopping list. In any case, if you need some last-minute gifts for your dad, or your baby daddy, here are some A+ suggestions!
As a consumer of luxury goods, I feel it’s sometimes hard to make my case for sustainability and ethical making in the fashion industry. However, I believe, too, that every little bit can help in making a difference. Together we can make it a movement…
My bathroom is everything to me; it’s both a place where I can treat myself to some good hair and skin action, as well as hide from the craziness of family life… It’s true, and I’m not ashamed to say it – I bet there’s women who can relate! Sometimes I just hide there for a few minutes, take a couple of deep breaths and come out again smiling. Don’t get me wrong, family life is fantastic, but not always easy, and definitely not a walk around the park. But at night, when my little love bugs are finally in bed sound asleep – after ten times coming back out again of course – it’s time for ME. Oh wait… but that’s at the end of the day, when I actually have some time for myself anyway… What about in the morning, when there’s no time for masks, face massage, or pore strips? How do I get ready in the little time I have? Well, here it is… My simple 10-minutes hair routine with L’Oreal Ever Pure!
It feels like I’m starting a lot lately with “since I became a mother” and “motherhood, wow time flies”, but in reality, that is my reality! Because “since I became a mother” my life got shaped in such a different way; it shines through in everything I do. Now you all know me quite a bit, and you know I’m not necessarily appealed to becoming a mommy-blogger. Not because I don’t like it, on the contrary, there are so many inspiring mothers, who’s blogs I follow almost obsessively, but for me it’s always been, and always will be about fashion. Though, I get the feeling you guys would love to know more about me and my life as a working mother in New York, a loving wife – I do my best – and of course, as being ME. So without losing the aspect of fashion out of sight, I started letting you into my life a little more… I shared sensitive words about my insecurities, what motherhood means to me, and all the “clichés” around it. And so today’s post is about my ideal Saturday morning! Our kids made me routined, almost to a level where I feel – you wouldn’t notice – I’m not flexible anymore LOL, but truth is, not only the kids function so much better when our routine is in full swing, I am too…
As cliché as it sounds, I’m often wondering “where did the time go”! With James turning 6 soon and Stella starting school next school year, they suddenly went from my babies to big kids. I must admit, it does scare me a little bit too… It only seems so little ago when I held them in my arms for the first time. The most life-changing moment in my life for sure.
