Nothing irritates me more than dry hands, dry feet, dry lips, or any part of my skin that is dry, due to it being exposed to cold winters, air pollution, and the harshness of the water every time I was my hands or take a shower. Now don’t get me wrong, I love to take a shower and I wash my hands, regardless of the above, I just had to figure out a way of keeping the dryness out of the door. This is what I did…
Time to breath… finally… Last week and this weekend were super hectic. First of all because of my super short trip to Paris for Spring Couture Week – if you haven’t read my Chanel-story, do it now? Followed by coming home, fulfilling my mommy-duties after having been away… I will probably never get rid of that guilty feeling whenever I leave them for a few days, will I? And then, after one “day off” on Saturday, Jeff and I were shooting again on Sunday, followed by Monday taken over by The Coveteur-team for two exciting collaborations! No time for Monday-blues, just keep on going and wear more baby blue, cause isn’t this just Spring-in-an-outfit!
Last September a dream came true, I went to the Chanel SS16 RTW show. Only a few months later, a dream I never even dreamed of to become true, came true too: I was invited to attend the Chanel Spring 16 Couture show in Paris!! Needless to say, I was excited beyond anything!
Beyond excited to kick of 2016 with this editorial in collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman and Tomas Maier, shot in the magical New York Botanical Garden. Now imagine the worst-weather-day in history – and then I’m not talking about the Monster Storm – on which rain keeps pouring and pouring from 6AM in the morning till midnight, but regardless to that you have to be up and ready to shoot at 8AM – it’s winter – in a botanical garden where the only space to change is some sort of basement laboratory – without heating – jumping into Resort and Spring/Summer pieces, and not let any of this spoil your pretty face… What in the world has to happen to turn all of this into something fabulously freaking fantastic? Exactly, Tomas Maier!
