I’m terribly behind on posting my looks from Paris, and I’m terribly sorry about that! It’s just hard to find the time, a good internet connection, and the right images – from the right photographers – when you are at the same time trying to find your way in the beautiful city of Paris. More than before I’m enjoying the city so much, somehow there is time in the midst of the buzz of Fashion Week. Plus, I took my mother for the first three days, so sightseeing was mandatory. And that’s ideal when you’re also trying all those amazing petit restaurants, and have steak for lunch, every day… But back to fashion, back to what I was wearing to Barbara Bui!
After a super relaxed flight from New York to Paris, I touched down in my hotel – where I’m staying with my mother for a few days – and headed straight to my Chloe fitting. Closet goals for sure. Every time it feels like a dream coming true, browsing through the latest collections of my favorite brands, selecting pieces to wear to their show. My first look of Paris Fashion Week was for the first show I attended this season in Paris: Chloe!
I can’t believe Fashion Months is almost coming to an end. The last leg, Paris, is always the most exciting one for me, so I’m making sure that I arrive well rested and relaxed. Part of this process is treating my mind and body with care. Taking a little extra time putting on my day creme, maybe applying my favorite face serum with some extra care, and creating the most relaxing home environment.
One fine afternoon in downtown Manhatten, spotting the cool street-art hearts by James Goldcrown, followed by a quick stop at Bradley Theordore’s atelier in DUMBO, Brooklyn. That pretty much sums up how I spend my first post-NYFW Friday, and it was truly amazing. I must admit, I was soexhausted after fashion week that the idea of strolling around in Soho and sorts, especially on a busy Friday afternoon, didn’t really spark more than the true excitement of wearing a full Longchamp look – usually I would be the first in line to get out there to see some (street)art… but fashion week brings you down.
While the city starts to cool down, and the wind blows the last summer dust through the avenues, we’re preparing for another beautiful Indian Summer. With the weather not being predictably hot any longer, I’ve replaced my denim mini-skirts for breezy maxi-dresses. Just that little extra that keeps me from feeling chilly during those end of summer days.
