The backpack-trend did, and didn’t get me at the same time. I have been wearing them every now and then, but I always struggled with the size or the color. Often they were too big to just “throw on”, or not big enough to put, for example, my laptop in. Although I never really put in an effort to find one that really suited me and my preferences, I still kept an eye on the one that I loved from the start: The Louis Vuitton backpack. Just big enough for my phone and card holder, and light enough to carry next to my laptop.
All of you who’ve been following me over the past 5 years know that when it comes to bags, I’m not afraid to go for color. A forest green PS11, a bright yellow Celine, or anything in the color of now: burned orange… So this deep red Loewe clutch shouldn’t come as a surprise. Though for me personally, when I knew I was going to receive this clutch, in red, I wasn’t sure if I would “love” it. I guess it just had to grow on me, which it did. And exactly this happened to this red dress, after hanging on my clothing rack for a few weeks in the office. It totally grew on me, and now I LOVE it!
I’m taking the business of hair, and my own hair, very seriously as of late. Not that I didn’t before, but by “seriously” I mean that I’m really looking into products that work for my hair. Products that are best for my kind of hair, and therefore create a desired “do”. Before I was just buying whatever shampoo or conditioner looked good on the pharmacy shelf. I tried them, usually I had no complains, so I kept using them. However, now that I’ve learned more about hair, and my own hair in particular, I have a better understanding of the products I should be using.
My favorite part of the day for taking photos must be the “golden hour” in the PM. Though finding the light in a city like New York can be challenging. It’s definitely easier downtown, where you have less high buildings, but still… The dress I’m wearing is more golden than the actual light does reflect on the photos. It was beautiful, but we didn’t succeed in capturing the “warmth”.
Spring is finally here, which means I can open up my windows on a Saturday morning to listen to the birds. I can smell the trees and the flowers and leave the house without a coat on. And most importantly, I can clean out my wardrobe by getting rid of all the thick knits I needed so desperately this winter. Spring makes me want to start fresh, which for me translates to indulging in all sorts of beauty treats, including touching up my roots and getting a hair cut; a good pedicure; and a full-body scrub to get rid of dry, winter skin.
