Remember, ages ago, I tried on this denim Isabel Marant coat and posted it on Instagram? If you do, you might also remember it looked more like a bathrobe than a coat – in that fitting room. It still pretty much does when I wear it in the house, but come on, let’s give it a little more credit than that. It’s pretty beautifully made, amazing denim fabric, cut-off sleeves. Not your usual bathrobe, right?
I’ve been a secret admirer of the all-knit look from the moment it became big with Celine, and shortly with the shameless duplicates from Zara. However, because I saw the real-deal, and perfect-steal, on literally every blogger out there, I decided to not buy this perfect knitted pants. Didn’t miss it in my wardrobe, but when I bumped into it during a little Sale shopping, I couldn’t resist…
I don’t mind the cold, but so far my only experience with real cold was when I hit the slopes in my ski-outfit. However when you’re in a city with temperatures of -12 degrees Celsius, it’s different. How does one dress? I have no clue yet, so I only got as far as a parka and a pair of Sorel boots. Not really making a fashion statement there… How are we doing that during New York Fashion Week – I’m slowly starting to prepare mentally for this event in early Feb…
This cape is without any doubt my Fall hero piece. Both practical and polished. Not warm enough, though, for the freezing temperatures we are experiencing in New York right now. I love it, kind of, but it is really really too cold for this beautiful coverup. So obviously I shot this look before the Holidays – I work a lot in advance when busy times are ahead, plus, it gives me room to breath and work on side projects. But back to the cape, my hero piece. I can go on and on about it, its color, its perfect design, gosh, if we just all had a pocket with some spare change for beauties like this…
Did I trick you? How far up do these boots go? All the way up? Just an ankle boot? Funny enough I got this question a few times. From afar it almost looks like these boots go up all the way, but in fact they are just ankle booties. My most simple, black ankle booties, but my all time favorites.
