Looking at these photos I can only think “I miss my pink hair” and that I have to color it again for New York Fashion Week. Which is, by the way, starting TOMORROW. But not to worry this season… Because with a full but organized agenda, a rack full of amazing looks to wear, I feel quite relax about it all. Honestly, for the first time in 5 years of fashion weeks, I’m not completely freaking out about everything I still need to do/plan/pack/request/sort. I guess it’s a simple “I’ve learned from my mistakes” situation, and practice does really make perfect – as much as possible in this case. And I’m proud of myself for managing it all so much better than previous seasons. Not that anything would change for you really, because if I would not have told you about it, you would probably never know…
Sunday morning, I’ve put on my noise cancelling headphones – key to writing in a house with two small kids – but still vaguely hear the kids playing happily in the living room. After a week of major flu epidemics in our house, post-flight neck issues on my end, and big-time recovery from a proper European jet lag for all of us, it’s finally time to get back on the horse and do what I love so much: writing, editing, and sharing it all with you. While selecting my favorites from too many photos, vivid memories of our second trip to Paris with Bonpoint – read about our first trip here – keep on playing in my head. I’m closing my eyes for a second, and go back to the city we grew to love so deeply… Even James and Stella… as the moment we walked through the Jardin des Tuileries at 9AM in the morning, just a few hours after our arrival in Paris, and their smiles could not be bigger. All the good memories from last summer came back; the carousel, the chocolate croissants, the Bonpoint show, only the weather was a bit different this time round…
So as you might have figured out by now, we are here in Paris with the four of us for the Bonpoint Fall-Winter 2017 show. And aside from my Instagram and Instastories exploding with photos from Stella and James in their current Fall-Winter collection, I will be live-streaming the show tomorrow, Wednesday 25th January 2017, 16.30PM CET (10.30AM EST), here on Thefashionguitar.com! So make sure you tune in to see the cutest and happiest show of the season…
There’s a first time for everything… and so is for attending the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2017 show. I’m beyond excited and can’t wait to see the collection with my own eyes. Make sure to tune in tomorrow, Monday 23rd January, at 8.30AM EST or 2.30PM CET and watch it live with me…
A cute-fest, that’s how I would describe a Bonpoint fashion show. Cute little models, some can maybe only walk for a couple of months all together, run, slide, or giggle their way on the runway. The clothes – of which many pieces look nothing less than you would see on a couture runway – styled to perfection; pleated skirts with knee-socks, velvet smocked dresses, and boys jackets Thomas would be jealous of… No wonder the audience can’t stop smiling with every look that comes down the festive runway. It’s most likely the only fashion show at which the front row seems to actually enjoy the show, no matter how long the show may take – because funny fact is, it’s the longest fashion show I’ve ever been to too.
