Now you know I love my makeup simple, and that I care a lot about skin care; I use a day cream, a night cream, an eye cream, and even a retinol oil to keep my skin looking fly. And even though I’m not obsessed with staying young, I do like to maintain my skin as it is, for as long as I can. My bathroom is everything to me; it’s both a place where I can treat myself to some good hair and skin action, as well as hide from the craziness of family life… It’s true, and I’m not ashamed to say it – I bet there’s women who can relate! Sometimes I just hide there for a few minutes, take a couple of deep breaths and come out again smiling. Don’t get me wrong, family life is fantastic, but not always easy, and definitely not a walk around the park. But at night, when my little love bugs are finally in bed sound asleep – after ten times coming back out again of course – it’s time for ME. Oh wait… but that’s at the end of the day, when I actually have some time for myself anyway… What about in the morning, when there’s no time for masks, face massage, or pore strips? How do I get ready in the little time I have? Well, here it is… My simple 10-minutes hair routine with L’Oreal Ever Pure!
What my mother means to me… Regardless of the million little ways we are so different in, we always find common ground. In the end, we know how to work things out. I’m not saying that this has always been easy, because as with every valuable relationship in my life, we shared intense highs and terrible lows. Lows you think you might not recover from, but highs that leaves you with a much better understanding of that specific person. Things fall in place.
It’s Saturday morning and as usual we are all still in our pajamas. While Thomas’ is scanning the internet for a pair of dining room chairs, I’m sipping my cup of take-away coffee – we ran out of coffee beans and cups for our machine so there was no other way to get our morning-coffee-fix than running to the nearest coffee shop.
