Looking at this week’s weather forecast, today is supposed to be the coldest day, so it seemed best to just bundle up, wrap it all together, and leave the house with nothing less than a few good layers – of cashmere preferably. I love mixing textures and fabrics, and this look totally gives me satisfaction on that level. The teddy coat, the soft cashmere, the fringe…
Yesterday it was snowing, can you imagine?! When I was taking these photos it was as if we skipped winter all together, and just went straight-on to Spring. I guess I’ve experienced an amazing Indian Summer and shall prepare myself for a proper New York winter… But for now I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! It’s our first, and it looks like we’re going to eat a lot of turkey, watch many movies, and start preparing our house for the Holidays. It’s going to be a cosy two months…
What can I say… I’m simply obsessed with this 70’s trend – I’m close to wishing I was living my early 30’s in the 70’s – so when MIH Jeans announced to do a capsule collection for Net-a-Porter which was very 70’s inspired, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a few of their pieces. This a-line skirt was an absolute challenge to style, I mean, I’ve never really wore an a-line skirt before, or anything denim like that. I wasn’t really sure if I could pull it of with my length etc. But it turned out so freakin’ perfect. Obviously we’re in November right now, and going outside wearing just a skirt and a lace shirt isn’t super realistic, though today temperatures have risen from the death; it feels like spring. I kid you not. Sadly this isn’t going to last, but until I have to snug myself up again, I’m definitely enjoying this flaw of nature in November wearing just this.
About last week. It was a busy one with lots of events and other fun stuff. That much fun that I’m now bound to bed with an insane cold/flu/horribleness, which doesn’t want to go away. But in any case, let me take you back to when I arrived a the new Topshop store on 5th Ave last week, to be their blogger insider for the UNLOCK Topshop event.
Oh “hi” winter-time, when did you get here? You messed up my schedule pretty bad you know… I’m lucky I’ve an amazing photographer who knows how to tackle these kind of situations, otherwise I would be left pretty much in the dark – literally!
