The other day someone commented on my Instagram that she – or actually she was speaking in the “we” – was missing my personal stories. I read it and felt sad. With 4th of July approaching, and with that a long weekend to enjoy, I thought it would be nice to create a little “Edit” of my favorites to pack for a little city escape. I’ve always been a big fan of leather shorts or skirts in combination with oversized knits or denim shirts – preferably borrowed from the boys. Then, obviously, only sandals or simple white kicks allowed, and a few cute accessories, and ready to go boating, beaching, or just brunching “all day”.
Throwing in the ultimate soft palette of baby blue, off-white, and cognac, while exploring the my softer side… This is one of those cases where an amazing opportunities arises, and you’re immediately thrown into the deep. I’ve been looking at this dress, hanging beautifully on the clothing rack next to my bed, for about a week. I couldn’t figure out how to make it “me”. I struggled with the length, and then my length, because this is a tricky one being not really mini – or at least not for me – nor midi. Hello perfect little white dress! I think you were made for me, or at least, I like to think of it that way. Especially now I’m living in New York, where summers are so hot that nothing else works than a simple loose white dress on a boiling sunny day.
