As much as I love Alexander Wang’s talent and his A/W designs, and as hard as I fell for Altuzarra’s Fall 2013 collection, as big is my question mark regarding the use of yeti-arm-looking-gloves. Obviously I have nothing against gloves, and an oversized accessory can just be what we need sometimes, but these are quite over the top, aren’t they? Will anyone really wear these? Will we follow fashion and make this a trend just because Alexander and Joseph tells us, or do we do this because we love them? I really wonder how much we are going to see these next winter… What do you think?
You can’t start Fashion Week month unnoticed, especially not on the first day. Because fact of the matter is, New York Fashion week, as the kick-off city for Fashion Week month, started today! So go for a look with unexpected items, all mixed up for a funny Fashion Week kick-off!
Slowly our bodies adjust to the cold temperatures, but as soon as we think we’ve adapted, spring starts. This means for the fashion conscious women amongst us that we can show our legs again. Which is still quite shocking for some people, especially in Holland (I know that for a fact), but in London they feel totally comfortable with it. And I have to admit, after four years living across the pond, I feel pretty comfortable doing it too.
I am a huge fan of slippers, so when an opportunity comes that I can meet with a slipper-designer, I simply can’t resist. No matter what busy schedule I have. Hence I went to meet Penelope Chilvers and her staff at their cute little office/distribution center tucked away in Notting Hill.
