With the amount of traveling I’ve been doing lately, there’s nothing I love more than spending time at home, with James, Stella, and Thomas. Life is busy enough as it is, so there’s really no point in making it more busy, right? Yet, I owe it to my kids, my husband, and my friends to not completely turn my back to the world when I’m back home, mastering the art of cocooning…
This is not your average school-run-look, not even an average look in general; whenever I get to wear Chanel, I feel so not-average. It’s extremely special to wear these pieces, over and over again. And I don’t even mind that at the end of the day, these beautiful pieces have to return to the press office, because – at the end of the day, too – I’m here to inspire you, not to grow your desires, and leave you with the feeling of jealousy, over a pair of boots.
Last week I received a comment from one of my Instagram followers on a photo in which I was wearing the Chanel Fall/Winter 2017-2018 pre-collection boots in wine red: “Another pair of Chanel boots!”. I get that, because it’s not the first time you’ve seen me sporting a pair of these extravagant Mademoiselle booties. But truth is – and you must know by now – I work closely with beautiful brands like Chanel, and my job is – like that of a stylist for a magazine – to show you how to wear the runway in real life, or which trends to take-away from the new season. So, in fact, these booties, nor the dress, are not in my possession anymore… Yet, my love for them is still pretty real, and will never die. So sit back and relax, because there’s a whole bunch of inspiring looks coming your way!
Finally eating that signature burger, wearing one of the most beautiful dresses in human history, and playing ping-pong under the stars with epic company; that pretty much sums up day one of my first ever trip to LA. Not your average itinerary for a city-trip, but what else would one expect when traveling alongside with Dior for their Cruise 2018 show…
In contrast to last year around this time, I’m not going to make a huge round-up of what I’ve done in 2016, what I loved most, which hoops I had to take to get to where I wanted – I think I’ve done that well enough a few days back – and what’s laying ahead of me. I rather pick a few projects that stood out, blurp a bit about personal and emotional things when it really matters – like a few days back – and share upcoming projects when the time is there. Hence I’m starting with one of THE BEST projects I’ve done this year: My Mother’s Day shoot in collaboration with Chanel and Bergdorfs. I mean, I’ve worked on several occasions with Chanel this past year, but boy did a DREAM COME TRUE shooting this project! A dedicated story in collaboration with a brand that I LOVE, and a store that is my favorite in New York City. Pinch me again!
One of my latest features is this little “Fall Favorites” Edit in ELLE Denmark. Shot at home, wearing current favorites – which are not all new season picks, but also all time favorites of mine – and pieces we should all have, in some form, in our wardrobe this Fall. So here’s a little shopping edit, inspirational images, AND most of it pretty much on Clearance – yup it has started, Sale Season is on, and started with The Outnet… Which basically means sale on top op already much reduced pieces… Best way to start your weekend, right!
