Nothing better than some warm and fluffy winter whites for when the cold really kicks in. I’ve always had something for wearing whites during winter, but it’s only since last winter I truly found the way of doing it. The thing is, whites in winter can be hard to pull of. They do really well when the fabric has this extra richness to it, when it has this thickness, fluffy, and everything but cotton feel…
Somehow a white cotton – unless it’s a simple white t-shirt under a jacket or heavy knitted cardigan – feels too summerish. For example, I have this cool minimalistic white oversized turtle neck sweater. It’s a wardrobe staple for sure, and definitely one of my favorites, but it simply doesn’t work for me during winter. Maybe because of the simple fact that a cotton doesn’t keep me warm enough, but I think the real reason would be that I miss the richness of the fabric. I will have to save it for Spring, or try it out with some layering, but until then I keep holding on to fluffy winter whites, knits, and wool oversized jackets, like this statement pieces from Tibi – which you can now get for a very soft price…
