Throwing in the ultimate soft palette of baby blue, off-white, and cognac, while exploring the my softer side… This is one of those cases where an amazing opportunities arises, and you’re immediately thrown into the deep. I’ve been looking at this dress, hanging beautifully on the clothing rack next to my bed, for about a week. I couldn’t figure out how to make it “me”. I struggled with the length, and then my length, because this is a tricky one being not really mini – or at least not for me – nor midi. I was afraid I would drown in it and not being able to pull it off staying close to myself, yet, I was in love with it…
Good, that dreamy way of thinking wasn’t going to get me anywhere obviously. Fact was, I wasn’t sure how to wear the dress because of its length, my length, and the soft coloring. I realized I needed to add a few good statement pieces that would compliment the dress, and elevate it to the real me. It took only two things to do this: Classic knee-boots, and my current favorite it-bag. This way it didn’t become too girly – as we all know would not have been me – but made it a strong casual summer look. Just as I would wear it. Like, every day.
