I plea guilty…
You think I may have been briefly insane at the time I clicked these boots home, but hear me out. I secretly dreamed of these Givenchy boots from the moment I first saw them on Christine Centenera (senior fashion editor of Australian Vogue). The length, the outer-space feeling, and the elegance that come with this pair of footwear are to me the ultimate. However, the price was as high as the boots themself, so the dream boots remained a dream. And time went by. I tried those look-a-likes at Zara a couple of times, but those looked rather weird on my legs. I found a pair on sale in Holland, but they weren’t my size. And then that moment came, you know when all moons come together and something happens that you never, I repeat never, thought would ever happen: I found a pair, in my size, in the most beautiful brown shades. This was it, this was a sign I couldn’t ignore. Funny though is that I never really look at brown boots. I almost immediately click on ‘black’ in refining my search options when shopping online. Yet these boots, in this color, are in fact my ultimate spring/summer boots. As well as they are perfect ‘transition-boots’; up to the knee, so nice and warm, embracing the light by not being black (don’t get me wrong, those black ones were the ones on my wish list until I found these). So, will you forgive me and secretly get yourself a pair of Givenchy boots too?
