Spring/Summer 2011 inspiration III: Close your eyes… dream away… pretend you are a space princess… Queen Amidala (Natalie Portman in Star Wars I) would have been the perfect model for this Spring/Summer 2011 trend inspired by novels and our galaxy. It is a mix of funny sunglasses, silly clever dresses, weird prints, animal shoes, and outer space.
On the novelty trend I love the designs from Holly Fulton. The My Little Pony clouds combined with space sunglasses, and romantic big hair. Very inspiring. Christopher Kane and Manish Arora did an amazing job with their futuristic designs. Where Christopher uses almost real Milky way images, gives Manish Arora a glimbs of the outfit you would wear in space. It actually also reminds me a bit of Mila Jovovich in the cosmic movie The fifth Element… Anyways, I found a nice starry Tee at ASOS, which took me quite a while to find, but that makes it even more rewarding! XO
