Front row these days: High heels made way for designer slip-ons. Hurray! I couldn’t agree more with these ladies, although I still have big admiration for women who wear high heels every day, to every show… for a month!
Not so long ago I shared some backstage images from my lookbook shoot for William Rast Spring ’15. The lookbook is finished and I can finally share the final result. I’m personally very happy with the way everything looks, which isn’t often the case to be honest. Personally I find there’s always something wrong with my photos, obviously it’s me I’m looking at and being critical towards the way you look is more than natural, though, not less hard. Anyway, these images make me feel proud and happy, which is the ultimate goal for me when working with clients on these kind of projects. My first time at Prabal Gurung, last week during New York Fashion Week. Mostly light pastels, asymmetrical cuts, and everywhere a little skin exposed. In a good way, though, for example with these racer backs. It makes sense in relation to the “story” behind this collection – and the one for Fall 2014 – in which a Himalaya track is the center of inspiration. Very exciting in combination with the evening gowns.
Long before my hair was pink, the weather turned bad, and I had my second surgery, I shot this look with Jason, wearing my first fall buy: A bomber jacket. I decided not to go for the oversized look, because I’ve plenty of oversized coats in my closet. This cropped version reminded me of my high school days, when i was wearing and Alpha Industries bomber in navy, which was a big hit at the time. Remember that one? I wish I’d saved it…
Refreshing to see models on the international runways with actual breasts. Not that I have anything against those who don’t have a full front, I for one am part of that gang, but it steps away from the idea that models have to be super skinny – also on the breast part – to walk for international well-known designers. I’m just saying…
