After a smooth but bumpy 7-hour flight from New York to Paris – I was so lucky to leave before the snowstorm in New York started – I arrived in Paris. Early morning, completely exhausted, because I didn’t sleep a sec the whole flight – which was a night flight, so you can imagine. Anwyway, destiny intended me to just get into European time-zoning immediately, because my room wasn’t really till 2pm and I planned on sleeping immediately upon arrival! All good in the end, because after two great shows and a burger in bed, I slept like a baby from 9 till 9 the next morning.
Can we make this the last time I look frozen on my photos for this winter? Can we try to make it feel more like Spring, and less like Ice Age 5? Can we just pretend Spring is really on its way, starting with a mild Paris Fashion Week, and then I take you with me to New York where you will flourish? Spring, I think you and I can talk. I’m flying to Paris tomorrow, so we’ll have plenty of time to do so…
Whenever it’s Milan Fashion Week and I see the street style shots passing by, together with some amazing show coverage, I regret not being there. This season again; I can’t stop saying how amazing it looks, everything on any feed I come across. So I had to conclude: next season I’m going to be there! And in that spirit I put some Milano-inspired looks together to shoot yesterday – unfortunately when Jeff and I just set foot outside, it started to snow again. Nonetheless, two perfect Milano looks, which I would both wear for sure, if it wasn’t snowing. Especially this one from today…
You might be wondering if I match my wardrobe with my hair, or my hair with my wardrobe… To be honest, I’m not sure about the rational behind it, but what I do know is that I wanted to color my hair gray for a long time. And one day, my colorist just made it happen, in-between the shows, not having to spend hours at the salon, and the result even better than I’d ever dream of! Still loving it.
On potentially the most beautiful winter morning last week, I stole this super cute teddy coat from my New York Fashion Week roomie Sabrina – as well as her New York beanie – to wear to the Tommy Hilfiger show. Because that’s what you do when you have such a fashionable guest staying at your house. I couldn’t be happier for both the fact that the weather was so amazing, and that I have my favorite Dutch blogger friend close to me. It makes me feel all warm inside. No winter-temperatures can make that go away!
