There I sit, in front of my newly purchased iMac, looking at these photos on a very big screen… On first looks I love them, but the longer I look, the more I’m starting to dislike them. There’s something that keeps bothering me… In fact, it kept me from posting these images for way too long. If I would tell you, which I will in a little bit, you might say “no biggie,” but for me, it is a biggie much. Ever since I can remember looking at myself, that’s all I can see.
Until the city is boiling hot – which I still can’t believe it will be rather soon – it’s chilly. Seriously, I can’t deal with the ever-changing New York weather. As I just left the house in this super Springy floral jacket (see my Insta stories), and realized, it was not really that warm. I mean, not that it’s cold out today, but just a cold breeze. One I didn’t dress properly for. So here’s that chunky knit, that you have seen me wearing all the time, and that was the cheapest and best purchase of last winter. It’s a miracle it’s still in such good condition considering the brand – do know, I put literally everything in the washing machine. Which only proves, if you look well and get the good fabrics, you will find those high-street gems! Anyway, with half of my Spring/Summer wardrobe out and ready to be worn, I still trow this knit on top of everything. Which makes basically for what I wear on those cold Spring days, everything, and then with this knit on top…
What my mother means to me… Regardless of the million little ways we are so different in, we always find common ground. In the end, we know how to work things out. I’m not saying that this has always been easy, because as with every valuable relationship in my life, we shared intense highs and terrible lows. Lows you think you might not recover from, but highs that leaves you with a much better understanding of that specific person. Things fall in place.
Yihhhaaaaa tonight is the night. Most anticipated, most wanted, and all in the hands of one lady: Anna Wintour. She decides who’s invited, she makes the list. I can’t wait to see who’s invited, and what they will be wearing… I’m celebrating not being invited – though it’s highest on my bucket list since, like, forever, to attend. But hey, I did the MET Gala pre-party last year, and that was pretty amazing already. So here’s one of my looks from Paris Fashion Week, and what I think would be totally MET Gala approved. Although, it might be too white for Anna…
And I couldn’t agree more. Shoes are everything. If I had to pick one favorite thing in my wardrobe, it would be a pair of shoes. In fact, it would be my new Attico crystal embellished mules I’m wearing in today’s post. Statement pieces to perfect…
