To everyone I love… If there was a way to extend my days, build in more hours, or even a few minutes more every morning, I would totally go for it and seize every extra second I could get. I used to have a very annoyed attitude towards people who always start their sentence with – after I asked how they were – “I’m sooo busy”. Why so annoyed Charlotte? Well first of all because I think it’s a stupid thing to say to a mother who runs her own business, and secondly, aren’t we all busy somehow? Why would I care you are, I am too, and I’m not complaining about it either, am I? Or isn’t it a complaint when those people tell me they are sooo busy? Is it simply a way to tell me the reason for their absence over the past weeks – as in, we didn’t find a second to go for a drink. I don’t mind, I get that.
One month later, one month wiser, and one month more beautiful. It’s as if I turned back time for a little bit: my skin feels better than ever, maybe as good as it was years ago. “Really,” you say? Yes, really!
I’m back in New York and terribly behind on blog posts, emails, and there are a million errands to run. However, I feel most inspired at the start of the day, so I prioritized my “things to do” and started with sharing some of my favorite photos from the HarpersBazaar.com + Nexxus street style shoot we did a few weeks back.
I’m super excited to be in Barcelona with Pronovias and I can’t wait to go to their show tonight. I’ve seen a few Haute Couture shows before, which is kind of the only thing coming close to what we’re about to see tonight. Although bridal isn’t the main focus of my blog, I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful dresses in the world – great inspiration too. For everyone who cannot be here, you can watch the Pronovias Fashion Show live on my blog tonight at 8.30PM CET. Enjoy!
When it comes to jewelry I go through phases where I prefer big and chunky over fine and elegant, or the other way around. I always look at what jewelry people are wearing, and I have vivid memories of my very first ring. I was in middle school, it was silver with a little lady bug on it. Super cute and girlie. Then came a shot but heavy obsession over big chunky silver rings, and nowadays I’m all about fine jewelry. Hence I’m always looking for rings that work well with my – insanely beautiful – engagement ring, and I think I’ve found a brand that’s absolutely perfect…
