50 SHADES OF GREEN

No, I’m not going to talk about that movie, nor has this post anything to do with things like “green with envy” or Stella’s favorite cartoon hero Poison Ivy – I know, it’s crazy – but today it’s all about the celebration of color, and the most beautiful one of all: green…Yet, the real important thing in this look is actually the tiniest…

You should know by now that my preference goes to fine jewelry in combination with statement accessories. But when it comes to watches, I seem to not being able to make up my mind. Last year I took a journey to find the perfect one, remember? And as much as I loved every single one of them, none of them turned me into a watch-person for good. Fact is, if I don’t put my watch next to my rings on my nightstand, I forget to put it on in the morning… Now I figured, one of the ways to “solve” this, is to treat my watch more as a piece of jewellery. I explained this to you before, but for me it really doesn’t come down to the practical side of a watch, it’s all about how it looks with the other jewelry I wear. And this changes every month, sometimes week.

This tiny velvet green watch – never expected to be intrigued by a watch this tiny – with just the right amount of gold-vibes feels like the perfect addition to what’s currently going on around my wrist. A celebration of color, deep dark green that is, that goes perfectly well together with the army green of my jacket, the bright green of my sweater, and don’t even get me started about the shoe/watch combination. Good right?

A luxurious feel by the golden tones, yet without looking too posh. It would contradict too much with who I am to go “posh posh”. And to not state the obvious… well I’m going to do it anyway: the watch is so small, yet so out there! The statement pieces in my look could easily distract away all the attention from this cute little time-piece, but the don’t, they compliment each other completely. And here you have it, the bottom line, the thing that Cluse does best… They make watches that compliment our looks, and add to the way we like to wear our jewelry. They treat it as jewelry because they understand that we women love to wear a watch, but don’t only see it as a functional piece.

Now I understand you are green with envy after seeing me with this cute little Cluse watch around my wrist, no, I’m kidding – with a BIG smile on my face – because we don’t do jealousy, we love’m right!
