Two things I love during cold winter days are 1. the feel of my bare face in the sun, while staying warm with 2. the ultimate beanie. Unfortunately I don’t feel confident enough to go makeup less every day of the week, especially not when I’ve had a night without much sleep – read: two toddlers in-between Thomas and me, who decide it’s morning around 3AM. But luckily we have sunglasses, and I wear those when not wearing any make-up on. Or, in today’s case, I make sure my photographer captures me with just the right amount of light on my face…
But let’s get back to those beanies, because needless to say, the one I’m wearing today is quite a statement one. No surprises then when I tell you it’s rag & bone – the brand I’ve loved since I moved to London, and which also was one of first fashion shows I saw when I moved to New York. Needless to say, we go way back. And I’m loyal, to friends who work for the brand, and the brand itself. So when I tell you that rag & bone’s statement beanies are exactly what I think we should all be investing in right now – especially with still quite some cold months ahead of us – it’s not because I have to, but because I truly feel the need to share my love for the brand with you. Moreover, I’m sure you already have a black and gray beanie, and not one in burned-orange or burgundy, so….
In any case, I’ve invested in a couple of colored beanies this winter. One in bright red, one with red stripes, and this one, in burned-orange and beige. And while compulsively going over the accessories page of rag & bone, I realized the mens section has plenty of cool ones too. Which actually only made it harder to pick. Though my strategy might be to get also one for Thomas, one that I can wear too, and then enjoy two extra statement beanies in my wardrobe this winter… Do you ever shop mens too? Shall I go for that one with the logo on it too?
