We all like to dream, especially when the holidays are upon us, we like to dream about the things we wish for the most. I love creating wish lists, it’s a never ending thing, because there are always new things to wish for. Which is a beautiful thing, because it gives us something to work for, and whenever the time comes that you can tick of one of your wishes, it gives that ultimate feeling of “dreams coming true…”
I teamed up with Selfridges – my favorite go-to when I was still living in London, now my online shopping destination – and curated my ultimate wish list. It all started with my hero piece: The red Valentino shoes. I love the block heel and round nose, and the color is simply divine. If there would be one thing I can recommend adding to your holiday wardrobe it would be a pair of red shoes. Imagine that little black dress which will be totally vamped up by those red killer heels, or elegant kittens. Though, if red shoes – or colored shoes in general – are not your cup of tea, then go for a black strappy pump. Obviously bags add a little something something to every look, and evidently you can go all the way from super classic to “Alice in Wonderland”, or rock-style. My choices are exactly like that; the Saint Laurent clutch is a basic, is always good and never out of fashion. The card box clutch adds this fairytale holidays vibe, and is definitely a statement piece. Or, if you dress simple yet feminine, you probably love to go with this Valentino Rock Stud bag. Just to add a bit of edge to it. Oh well, and then there’s jewelry of course. Something quite personal, but I chose the kitten ears for adding a fun element to every look, and the statement ring, in case you like that edge we talked about before.
Now I get that this Holiday wishing makes you want it all, but might not see this all working with each other… Therefore I’m going to show you real soon how I would wear some of the above pieces. One little secret I can give away already… the red shoes will be the hero piece in that fairytale store…
