Elegant meets casual. If you ask me; THE perfect combination. Plus, when being a mom it doesn’t mean you have to be casual looking every moment of the day. NOT AT ALL. Of course I am not running around on these heels while feeding James and changing his nappy, especially not during a holiday. BUT it doesn’t mean I am never wearing those anymore! I love to dress up, and after 6PM, I try to do so every now and then. Even if it is only for dinner, or a drink next to the pool. It’s just to remind myself that next to a mommy, I am also a 27 year girl, who loves wrap-skirts and strappy heels ;)

Although the sun is gone, temperatures are still not bad, so wearing bare legs is an option. These strappy heels I got yesterday at Zara. Not very original, since EVERYONE has them, but I couldn’t resist. I guess it’s just one of those basics you must have in your closet this S/S12. Fortunately there was one small size left. I like to think it was meant to be! My white leather skirt is one of my best buys so far, I’ve been wearing it so often. Easier to combine than you might think. TGIF!

Today was too busy and although I started off with this outfit shoot, I couldn’t manage to post it earlier. I am so sorry for keeping you waiting so long…
Let me start with telling you more about the DIY of this look: my goal these nine months is to show that being pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t be fashionable, sexy, and feminine (and I also still love my boyfriend jeans and Vans of course, but you know what I mean). Well today I had the problem that all my clothes were waiting in my laundry basket, so I had to be inventive. The skirt I am wearing is one of the tube dresses I got in the ASOS sample sale around Christmas last year. Never worn it before, but now it works perfectly as a tube skirt (where the boobies are supposed to be, is now a belly!). The t-shirt is damn old, and had 3/4 sleeves. Quite impossible, and more to sleep in than to wear properly. So okay, here is where I actually DID use a tool: scissors to cut of the sleeves.
So in 5 minutes, what normally takes at least one hour, I was dressed and ready to go. I LOVE wearing casual and chic together, so I am very happy with this look. What do you think? The only thing missing is a statement necklace… Well, I found one. See more tomorrow!
Now I am off to pack my tiny suitcase for two days Paris, and Fashion Week! I just had a maccaron to already get the Paris feeling… XO
