Ever since I was little girl I’ve been dreaming of being locked up at Bergdorfs, or its equivalents Galeries Lafayette when I was in Paris. Imagining myself jumping on the beds of the sleeping department, trying on every single pair of shoes on the footwear floor, and secretly eating as many ice-creams as I liked. As a grownup this dream hasn’t changed much… I cannot think of a better way of spending my night – sorry Thomas – than running around on the shoe department of a high-end New York department store… Now I bet we secretly share this dream, wherever you may be in this world.
Not too long ago I went to the premiere of The Elephant Man on Broadway, starring our beloved Bradley Cooper – next to some of my favorites: Patricia Clarkson and Anthony Heald. Dressed in a complete look by Brooks Brothers, as you can see in this post, I walked the red carpet, waited in line to get seated next to Anna Wintour, and bumped into the sexiest man on earth – Jon Hamm – all in one evening. Quite an experience, and definitely one to never forget…
I shot this look with Jeff when it wasn’t freezing cold in New York yet, but never found a good time to post it, as the look is so weather inappropriate at the moment. But since I’m in Miami right now, I figured it’s probably the only time I can share it before the Holidays. It’s quite a funky combination which I personally love.
I’m currently on a little family getaway, but meanwhile we are kicking of the “Winter Beauty Edit” here on Thefashionguitar.com! Now I’m not a real pro when it comes to beauty products, because I never know what to use or when, so it’s only when a make-up artist, or anyone beauty-related tells me what to get that I get something new. Hence, I’ve found tons of perfect beauty products, but do not share them often. I should do that more I think, because I personally love to read about other people’s beauty favourites, so I figured you might be interested in mine.
This time I had the pleasure to try some new – to me – products from Dr. Jart. Remember when I went to Montauk with them last summer? Well, to be fairly honest with you, from that moment on I’ve used their masks and nose pads a lot. However, they have so much more to offer, so it was about time I dove into the deep and did some “try this at home” experimenting.
Soon we will be flying to warmer temperatures, beach, and cocktails at the pool. It’s been over a year since we’ve been on a real vacation, so we need it… I need it! I cannot wait to swap this long coat for a pool-kimono, my trousers for cut-off shorts, and the turtleneck for my bikini top. Though the latter I still have to buy… Gotta run, lots to do before we can vacay and “do nothing”.
