About last week. It was a busy one with lots of events and other fun stuff. That much fun that I’m now bound to bed with an insane cold/flu/horribleness, which doesn’t want to go away. But in any case, let me take you back to when I arrived a the new Topshop store on 5th Ave last week, to be their blogger insider for the UNLOCK Topshop event.
Oh “hi” winter-time, when did you get here? You messed up my schedule pretty bad you know… I’m lucky I’ve an amazing photographer who knows how to tackle these kind of situations, otherwise I would be left pretty much in the dark – literally!
For those of you who’ve been following my instagram past week – more than 92K at the moment, WOW – there’s a lot been going on. Events, store openings – unlock Topshop on 5th Avenue – book signings, and so on. A week that was so full-on that I didn’t have the time to create a proper blog post for you, I’m so sorry. Honestly. Having that said, I’m super excited for a few collaborations that are coming up, new “Favourite West Village spots” I’m going to share, and lots Fall/Winter items I cannot wait to inspire you with…
And just like that it’s Monday again. The Monday after marathon Sunday. I didn’t run the New York marathon myself, and to be honest, I don’t have the ambition to ever do so – though a half marathon’s kind of on my bucket list still – but Thomas did, again! He’s one of those “I’ll never do this again” and then do it three more times, marathon guy. Admirable of course, I mean, it’s a freakin’ 42.2KM we’re talking about! Anyways, this was his second time running New York, and he beat his first time, so here’s one very proud wife! Moreover, I wanted to share my new favorite trainers up close, and what better way to do this, is by a fresh sport look to kick-off the week. Ciao!!
Our fist Halloween in New York, and we’re completely hooked forever. I never celebrated Halloween as a kid, simply because we don’t do that in the Netherlands. In London we didn’t take it too serious either, not because we didn’t want to, but it just never happened. Anyway, here in New York there’s noway around it. Our street has been decorated – properly – for two weeks now, and obviously we couldn’t stay behind. So my inner-uber-mommy came out and went all Halloween-crazy.
