If there were a good time to start adding some color to your closet, it would be now, just before spring hits and bare legs are actually allowed. My way of wearing color is always by balancing it out with basics in neutrals, and of course, a simple pair of shoes or boots. A western boot – if I had a pair – or a pair of loafers.
It’s been a few days – well, let’s make this weeks – since I came back from Paris, the final leg of my Fashion Month, and Fashion Month in general, and this planned update post-Paris did clearly not go up as quick as I wanted. Happy helpers needed here, cause there is just too much to do, and too little time, I guess? Anyway, usually I come home from the city of love with a nasty fever – mostly because I’ve been wearing nothing but Spring/Summer collections, which happes to be, often, not suitable for the Parisian March weather. However, this time the health-gods ruled in my favor and the “fever”, until today, did not get to me (yet). This made that I got to spend some real quality time with Thomas and the kids upon my arrival back home, and that I could prepare properly for our family vacation to the Caribbean. More on that later. It’s time to shed some light on this dress, shall we?
While I’m writing this post – the night before I leave for Paris – I’m trying to work my way through the looks from New York Fashion Week, which I, somehow, still didn’t manage to get online. Such a waste of beauty – and then I’m not talking about myself of course, but all the cool pieces I got to wear during this week. One of my favorite looks was the one in which I got to wear the new Chloe Jane wrist bag. A fashion week favorite, and a real Chloe Girl signature piece for Spring/Summer 16!
After spending the most amazing weekend in the mountains for our 12 yearish anniversary it’s time to get back behind my laptop, and start the week… I’ve had easier Mondays… Somehow this one is going very very slow. All the things I planned to do this morning, I didn’t do so far, and this makes me quite behind on my schedule in preparation for Paris Fashion Week! But, somehow – and this is a new thing – I’m not feeling too stressed about it. Probably because I’ve sorted out most of my looks last week, scheduled my fittings upon arrival, and arranged a few of my favorite pieces to be delivered to Paris. Outfit-wise not everything is set in stone, but with my strategy of bringing key-pieces and looks, with the option of buying some basics when I get to Paris, I’m sure I will be fine. The only challenge now is to get everything in my two suitcases… for 8 days in Paris… But before I can get to that, I have to unpack my weekend suitcase… Which is one of the things I dislike the most!
Earlier this week I talked about transitional coats, wardrobe staples, and personal favorites. I showed you my favorite military-coat, and went on and on about why this is one of the pieces you should invest in. But when talking about wardrobe-investments, I realized there was another coat that should be on this list too: My Acne shearling coat.
