A photo speaks a thousand words. No wonder we used to make the most beautiful photo albums from family vacations and other memorable happenings in our lives. But things have changed. Those photos still say more than words can ever do, but films got replaced by digital cameras, time became more limited, and in the end photo, albums are just something our parents used to make…
Early mornings on the Lower East Side, on my way to grab a coffee for Thomas and me, and some freshly baked bagels for the kids. Just before the spring rain started pouring down on my head, I met with Jeff to shoot a few of my favorite pieces from the Chloe Sun Collection. The thing that I loved most about this collection is the coloring. You know me, I’m the denim/navy white type of girl, who loves to take a d-tour to the land of brights every now and then, but when it comes down to picking favorites, it’s the nautical palette that wins.
Stella’s favorite book is one about a little girl called Birdie who likes to play dress-up with her mother’s clothes, she sleeps with a pocket version of the wedding photo book from her uncle and aunt from New York, and in St. Lucia she decided her favorite color is pink. I never imagined Stella as a girly-girl, especially because she used to play with her brother’s toys all the time, but recently things have changed..
One thing I’ve learned since I became a mother is that life has so many more bright sides than I used to think! Not that I was a glass-is-half-empty kind of girl, James and Stella remind me on a daily basis that joy can be found in little things, things that are too cliché to share here, yet so precious, sometimes hilarious or terribly cute. Every now and then I give you an Instagram sneak peek of my daily life and share some of these happy moments with my family, but usually not on my blog. Today, however, it’s time again to show another one of my favorite mommy-moments for my Mother’s Day collaboration with Chanel and Bergdorf Goodman!
