I remember when this coat hit the stores everyone went crazy for it “this coat though”, “I need this coat”, and it was definitely “this season’s must-have from this high-street”, so you can image my surprised look when I walked into Zara the other week and found a rack full of burgundy leather coats. It might have been the odd fit, cause let’s be real, as much as we love minimalistic lines and stiff materials, this coat has just an odd design – at least when you put it on, it looks definitely amazing on the hanger.
Everything I’m wearing today is kind of “old”, not really of course, but more in the sense that I’ve had these pieces for years, yet they’re some of my favorites. It’s easy, in the midst of preparing my looks for the week, to forget about them because I’m so inspired by the latest catwalk trends. However, as Sundays are for easy brunch looks, I thought it was about time to get them back out again!
One of the things I love doing most since the start my blog is shooting editorials and lookbooks for brands and magazines. In the beginning I was always super nervous and self-conscious, but as time – and many times in front of the camera – past this feeling disappeared, and now I can really enjoy it. The most recent one I shot – together with Lainy from Haute Inhabit – is a street style edit for Barbara Bui. I’ve been a huge fan of the brand for years, so you can imagine I was thrilled when they asked me to do this. These images are giving you a little sneak peek of an amazing set of photos showing Barbara Bui’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection, which will be available in-stores and online from July 2015!
It’s no secret I’m very much into this 70’s trend that’s currently celebrated in almost every editorial we come across. I never thought this would be something so close to my hear, but it is. I feel I’m on my best in this kind of looks and even weirder to say, but I think my body type works so well with the style of a-line skirt, flare pants, and little jackets. Even those flat granny-like ankle boots light my fire over and over again, I’m in love with them and I think it’s the best buy I did last year. I’m tempted to get the high-heeled ones too, in grey or maybe python…
I’ve a slight obsession over the mini bag lately. Not that you have seen me wearing on that often, but I do love them when I see them popping up on street style images. The Italian fashion forward women have been wearing them for a season or so, when Prada launched them, but me on the other hand needed some time to get into it.
If you’re looking for a comprehensive guide about “Miami with kids” I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you, because that’s not what you’ll find here. I’m about to give you a little sneak peek in our perfect stay at the Miami Beach EDITION Hotel last December – as I also did about our stay in the London EDITION Hotel. Miami was the first getaway with our family since we’ve moved to New York. Obviously something which was on our agenda long before, but some health bumps in our road didn’t let that happen. Anyway, just before Christmas we packed our suitcases and left for a warmer climate, we were off to Miami!
