Haute Couture has never felt so within reach. Don’t be fooled here though, because some of Valentino’s Fall 2014 Couture pieces might look not that Haute Couturie, they are in fact all made by hand, and therefore remain having extravagant price tags, which make them fall right back into category; pure high-sewing. Now a few centuries back we go. Back to ancient Roman fairy tales…

So imagine me sitting behind my Mac, drooling over Valentino’s show images at Style.com, however my heart really skipped a beat when I went into detail… leather waste-wrapping belts, the most beautiful embroidered dresses – as we all know Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli know to do so well – and godly togas of jut single pieces of fabric draped asymmetrically across the body. I can only think about one thing “when will I wear one of these dresses myself?”. Well, it could have been yesterday, as in fact I was invited to see the Valentino fall Couture 2014 show in person. Can one be more excited? No, for me this is one of the coolest things – work related – I could ever be invited to. It’s an honor. But why then just talking about it and using Style.com’s images? Why not my own? Well, the reason for this is that I couldn’t travel to Europe this week because I will have little surgical procedure today. It is nothing scary – although I find it a bit scary anyway, and hopefully I will recover quick and will just a sexy scar be the only thing that’s left of it. Wish me luck!
