I am not going to lie to you, every season there are some super hot pieces that I want too, regardless of the fact that everyone has them, and they are totally overexposed. Those it-pieces – as I like to call them – make me internally struggle. As in that I don’t want to be one of many, yet I simply can’t resist buying that amazing piece too. However, often by the time I’ve made my decision – in favour of buying it – that amazing piece is gone. Sold out. Missed my chance. And then I feel sad, and stupid, and I tell myself that next time I should trust on my gut feeling, and just GO for it, immediately. Anyone with me?

Hum. So about this skirt. Which is in fact the best sales-score I have ever done in the category “overexposed it-pieces”. In a lonely rail of sad last sale pieces – under £100 – I bumped into that amazing piece, a little hidden treasure. The stripe of the season. The oh so perfect Dries stripe. Going back to the start, I already erased having this stripe in my wardrobe, simply because wherever I wanted to buy it my size was already gone. Well, the fashion-gods must have been in favour of me. Of us. I guess we were meant to be. Yeah, I like to think that clothes and I are meant to be in some cases…
