Slowly our bodies adjust to the cold temperatures, but as soon as we think we’ve adapted, spring starts. This means for the fashion conscious women amongst us that we can show our legs again. Which is still quite shocking for some people, especially in Holland (I know that for a fact), but in London they feel totally comfortable with it. And I have to admit, after four years living across the pond, I feel pretty comfortable doing it too.
Hence this simple-sporty-garden-metallic-look, that I can’t wait to wear! Not too much leg out in the ‘cold’ with this botanical midi-skirt (Alexander Wang), and the body will be warm wearing a padded bomber (Alexander Wang). And as the current trend reports show us, metallics/hologram/black&white are considered hot, so make sure to wear white heels (the H&M wedges, similar here and here). I know I know, this can be quite hard to visualize without having the feeling you will look like a tranny, but see with this look (or here) it is possible. As well as a silver clutch (Jil Sander); very tacky if not styled carefully, but when your look is simple like this one, it can compliment the overall feeling very much. A sporty t-shirt (Topshop) is somewhat a wardrobe staple these days, as well as wearing wedding bands, or something similar (ASOS), around our fingers without being married.
